Jae Weong Seo
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
Height:  6'1"
Weight: 225 lbs.
Born: May 24, 1977 in Gwangju, South Korea

A teammate of other Korean Major Leaguers Hee Seop Choi and Byung-Hyun Kim back in high school, Seo attended Inha University and led his team to the Korean collegiate championship in 1997. Once a two pitch pitcher, Mets' pitching coach Rick Peterson sent Seo down to the Minor League in 2005 and he came back with slider, curveball, and a nasty cutter added to his repertoire. Pictured here is his 2004 Bazooka card where I got him signed for me in Korean, showing his deceptive high leg pause before he release his pitch.
